Each year VelocityLS pairs entrepreneurs in the Kansas City area with local Mentors that come from a variety of backgrounds but have one thing in common – they’ve navigated successful businesses. 

Velocity Mentors volunteer to be part of this program for 12-month increments. Their duties are to provide advice, guidance, support and a seasoned perspective to their mentees as they grow their company.

As mentees progress, they can apply to pitch at multiple VelocityLS events for capital.

Many Velocity Mentees have gone on to achieve incredible accomplishments and have come back as mentors themselves. 

In addition to a mentor, mentees have many resources available to them including professional financial guidance, marketing materials and more.
